The NBP Money Centre has acquired new exhibits. These are eyePOS 1.0 and eyePOS 2.0 terminals and an eyePOS 2.0 test terminal, by means of which payments using iris and face biometrics can be tested.
The devices, developed and implemented by a Polish fintech company, are based on payment acceptance and user identification by means of iris biometrics. The first eye payment was performed in June 2020. The eyePOS 2.0 terminal has been equipped with an improved biometric module which enables precise iris scans and stereoscopic 3D face scans. The combination of eye and face biometrics in this solution enhances its security, eliminating both biometric identification errors and fraud attempts. The Money Centre Team
